King of the Dot (KOTD) was started in the back alleyways of Toronto in 2008. From there, the league has grown to not only have a strong presence in Canada, but also in the west coast of the US through the Fresh Coast division. With a number of big names in the rap industry (most notably, Toronto native Drake) attending, hosting, and even performing at events, KOTD continues to earn the reputation as one of the primary locations for top tier battlers from across the globe to compete. This is most prominently highlighted in yearly KOTD World Domination event, which has hosted battlers from a wide variety of countries, including Canada, England, South Africa, Scotland, the Philippines, USA, and more.
